Detailed Description

Easy to Make Pumpkin Patch

This kit will produce a total of 10 HO-Scale* Pumpkin Vines with approximately 80 various size pumpkins. Each vine measures 2½ inches long (18-24 mm). The kit contains 10 sprue sets, each producing 1 vine with 8 pumpkins. Tenax-7R plastic weld cement is recommended. Weathering is optional on leave and pumpkins.

Trim parts away from sprue using a flush cutting tool or fine hobby knife. Be careful to keep organized as the parts are tiny and may get lost.
Gently twist leaves with a Needle Nose Pliers to give a natural cupping shape and more dimension. You may want to twist the vine a little to give more snaking curves.
Next glue the pumpkins to the vines. Once the glue has dried, paint and weather vines and pumpkins.
Finish by placing on platform on Silflor Grass Mats or on Furrowed Field. Blend with Earth Tone blended turf.

*This Pumpkin Patch may be labeled as HO-Scale, but in reality these pumpkins are large enough to be used in S-Scale and/or O-Scale scenes. Pumpkin sizes range from 1/4" to 1/8" in diameter.

Harvest Time... Here is an excellent example of random placement representing a mature pumpkin patch right at harvest time. Note how the vines seem to grow in a chaotic pattern. Also, by placing Prairie Tufts within and around the patch gives the look of an un-maintained field late in the season. On the left side the farmer has been working hard by making a pile of pumpkins ready for the Halloween rush.
