Not every tree in nature is perfect. Trees become distressed as a result of hard weather, disease and insect infestation. Needles die and turn brown and limbs break off. This kit provides that natural look most modelers don't consider. The instructions illustrate how to apply the several tones of horsetail foliage to achieve an exceptionally realistic tree.
Begin by gently twisting the wire branches giving the tree its shape and dimension.

Snip the horsetail foliage to the necessary sizes and shapes according to the enclosed directions.

Apply Beacon's 3-in-1 glue (SC0314) to the top portion of the branch.

Drape the appropriate length of horsetail over the branch. Then pinch the material, folding it in half, making the pine bough.

Detail the top crown with small pieces of horsetail.

With fine scissors, snip the boughs to give individual branch textures.
